After an easy motorcycle insurance purchase, a simple border crossing, and a beautiful wide road that meandered through the desert and sand dunes we arrived at our hotel on the beach. The salt air, clear blue water and resort complexes spoke to my husband’s sense of comfort.
The contest ended in a flurry at midnight last night (Wednesday October 10, 2012) with several last minute entries arriving before the deadline. In about five days we’ll be announcing the winners of the Sonoran Resorts’ “Best Job in the World” Travel Writing contest, and the competition is going to very close!
The sign says, “If you haven’t been to JJ’s Cantina, you haven’t been to Rocky Point.” That’s about as close as you can get to Truth in Advertising. Folks don’t simply ask you if you’ve been to JJ’s, they ask you if you’ve been to JJ’s yet.
If you’ve been putting off finishing the story about your favorite memory of Rocky Point, you still have approximately 48 hours (depending on when you read this blog) to get your story into us for consideration and possibly winning the Best Job in the World travel writing assignment that includes two weeks in a Luxury Sonoran Sky Resort Condominium suite right on Sandy Beach of the Sea of Cortez in lovely Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico, plus $50 US Dollars per day to spend as you wish while writing just five travel stories about your trip while you are here.

Take one of those experiences and write about it to share with those less fortunate to have had the occasion to visit our wonderland of great times. And, who knows, like we’ve said before, if it was a great adventure for you, it will be enjoyed by many others as well, and you might just find yourself the winner of our travel writing contest called “The Best Job in the World”…
