For five years Laura Valencia, a second generation Puerto Peñasco native, has been the pulse of organization for the Sonoran Sales Group, tending to everything from listing and closing documents to paying bills for owners.

It’s the business community melded with the City of Puerto Peñasco wanting to get to know you better as well.
If you are looking for Director of Sales Jim Ringquist at the Sonoran Sea, you just missed him… Jim and his trusty office manager, Laura, have recently relocated to the Sonoran Resorts newest premier property, the Sonoran Sky. They are easy to locate in their new digs just off the lobby through the glass doors behind the reception desk.
Around noon on Saturday, May 5 along Sandy Beach a colorful array of sails guided 14 catamarans into position for the annual Spring Fun Sailfest put on by Multihull Fleet 42 of Phoenix, the only open-class multihull sailing club in the Southwestern region. They also have a Laser Fleet, and in actuality welcome any other small monohull sailboats as well.

When it’s Mexico, there are many colorful festivities, large and small, throughout the year to keep our appreciation for this country impassioned. One such event takes place on May 3 of each year. It’s called Día de la Santa Cruz (Day of the Holy Cross). It is two days after Mexico’s Labor Day and is celebrated mostly by the construction workers, mainly bricklayers.
As with any volunteer effort, or any effort for that matter, the effectiveness of reaching goals is directly related to the motivation of those who are willing to take massive, immediate action to get stuff done. You can usually expect an interesting, if not downright exciting sea life event to take place around Sandy Beach, and yesterday was no exception; it was just more like a circus of events going on all day. Great Egrets and Great Blue Herons were hanging out together, crabs were mating, antique planes were flying by and from early in the day dolphins were jumping just a hundred feet from the beach.
