To some, it will be an epicurean dream, to others, simply one of the best, if not the best, meals they’ve ever enjoyed,
FISH. The Restaurant is a dining adventure by internationally revered Chef Luca Appendino, located in the same venue where The Lighthouse Restaurant offered its fare for so many years.
Circus Mexicus is not just a musical event. What many of us look forward to each year is our Peacemaker Family coming together. I started a Facebook page four years ago in an effort to compliment fundraising efforts of the annual Hot Dog and A Smile event. It started out initially with the help of our good friends and Rocky Point residents Mark and Barb Olszewski getting us the Wish List. Each year our group has grown and now we have well over 500 members.
So put your money on a Ducky’s behind for just $5 dollars—or even better, get three numbers on three Duckies for just $10 dollars, and the coup de Ducky?, get six Duckies racing for you for just $20 ducks—err–bucks! All your money is going to make a bunch of Puerto Peñasco school children able to study more with the right kinds of supplies through the nonprofit organization, Adopt-a-Classroom, which helps thousands of kids in 13 schools, including one school in Port Lobo.
With so many good hearted groups and individuals eager to help the community they love to visit or reside in, there’s hardly, if ever, a day where amazing acts of kindness and charity don’t change the life of a child, a family or a whole neighborhood of children or adults.
From early evening throngs of visitors moved in waves toward the Malecon for sunset, more beers and even more bandas and music, making the weekend one wild, colorful, continuous national Mexican party…These photos show that even the adjusted projections may not have been high enough.

There are ten other bands invited by Roger & The Peacemakers to join them at Circus Mexicus this year. It’s not unusual for them to invite […]

The name Baja has nothing to do with the Baja 1000 shops, it is a small personal shop owned and operated by Ingeniero Mauro Tejeda Cervantes of Servicio Automotriz Baja located on the small unpaved Calle “Los Alamos” one block east of Sinaloa off Miguel Hidalgo (Calle 13 turns into Miguel Hidalgo when it crosses Benito Juarez at Santander Bank.) The gregarious and personable Mauro, actually named his business after his alma mater, the Universidad Autónoma de Baja, California (UABC) where he earned his Mechanical Engineering degree with specialization in Automotive Fuel Injection Systems in all major American and foreign vehicles.
Known as a Color Run in English and called Toma Color in Spanish, it’s the fastest growing race event in history. A 5km run where participants jog through 4 to 6 stations manned by a handful of staff who douse them with brightly colored, harmless powder throughout the course. Arrival at theDSC_0105 finish line, each participant showered in a rainbow of colors, can’t help but turn into a party you have to see to believe…
Since its inception in 2002, StarShine has believed that a holistic approach to education is the best way to teach a child and ultimately improve the world. StarShine principles are based on the belief that nobody knows everything; that a person only knows what he knows, and therefore, every teacher is a student and every student is a teacher. The 15 Guiding Principles (which, because of their critical importance, are reproduced below in their entirety) are the philosophical fountain from which the StarShine Academy curriculum is designed and is credited with earning so many international scholastic, educational and peace-oriented awards…
