Again this year, the Palooza will be held under the stars across from Chango’s Bar and Grill on the entrance road to the Sonoran Sea and Sonoran Spa Luxury Beach Front Resorts on Sandy Beach, Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), Sonora, Mexico.

They all developed a great love of some musical instrument at a very early age. Home of the Brave Concerts (HOTBC) first started handling Roger Clyne and the Peace Makers famous “Circus Mexicus” summer concerts about three years ago, then expanded to manage the entertainment for the first annual Peñasco Palooza 2011 last October. Both events took place on a huge stage next to Chango’s Bar and Grill, on the entrance road to the Sonoran Sea and Sonoran Spa Resorts at Sandy Beach. They boasted concert quality synchronized lighting and a sound mix as great as you could find at any concert. For Peñasco Palooza HOTBC brought two additional bands, RoJo who play at Chango’s three nights a week, and another local favorite, Riband.

Edgar and Alma, originally from the Douglas, Arizona, area along with Ron and Carol Okinga, originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, host a pancake breakfast for all the neighborhood kids who want to show up. Ron and Carol bring a portable grill and set it up out back of the little one room chapel, still with dirt floor, and the kids come. Sometimes up to 60 of them. Alma was entertaining the kids inside by teaching them Sunday school songs which they eagerly and gleefully sang at the tops of their little voices. All in anticipation of lining up outside in orderly fashion to be handed their plate of pancakes and cup of orange juice–ladies first, of course.
