St. Cloud residents, Don and Lori Yaeger, just returned from a fantastic week of sun and fun on the beaches of the Sea of Cortez. Lori won the expense paid trip playing games on the online game channel where Jim Ringquist, Director of Sales for the Sonoran Resorts Sales Group, had arranged with the game channel folks for a sweepstakes for their players. For Lori, a regular player, this was actually the second trip she has won on the game channel, the first being a trip to Hawaii a couple of years ago.
Both Don and Lori were impressed with the soft sand beaches along the calm Sea of Cortez in northern Mexico, about four hours drive from Phoenix, AZ. Among their favorite activities while in Puerto Peñasco (aka Rocky Point by the many American visitors) took place on their very first night in town. Jim Ringquist picked them up at their spacious suite at the Sky, one of four Sonoran Resorts on the beach, and took them to the Peñasco Palooza Rock Concert under the starry skies of this beachside Mecca. They loved the main act by Steve McCarty and the Hitmen All-Stars, a group of legendary musicians all of whom earned platinum records while formerly with such influential bands as Boston, Aerosmith, Steve Miller Band, Three Dog Night, Moody Blues, and other famous bands.
The St. Cloud couple also enjoyed relaxing by the negative edge pool of the Sky Resort which overlooks the calm blue sea, long walks on the beach, enjoying the food from different resorts and restaurants along the beach, renting the jet skis readily available outside their resort and, of course, their great tans. They were also thrilled by the sighting of a pod of 10 dolphins as they played and swam very close to the restaurant where they had lunch one day with another couple they had met at the Sky Resort.
The couple was quick to say how much they enjoyed the trip, the destination, the beaches, and the hospitality afforded them by Jim Ringquist and the courteous and helpful staff at the Sonoran Sky. For more information, please visit www.sonoranresorts.mx
